a month of love....

so i've done a MASSIVE thing today {other than take my girls to see the Wiggles this morning}

i've contacted my dad... who i have not seen since my 18th birthday... i will be 35 in august so this is huge. it's been something that i've been thinking about a lot over the years and i guess a lot more recently. since the birth of my girls mainly, but also i have a dear friend who wasn't in contact with her father get a call in the middle of the night to say he was on his death bed recently. she went to see him, spent a hour with him and then he died. i'm learning a lesson from her situation that life is short and you never know when you're going to run out of time.

we live in different states so i emailed him... i'm waiting for a reply...  i feel relieved but apprehensive at the same time.... stay tuned
